With all the extra work you guys have been giving me I am going to keep it short and sweet today. A few reminders that will help you get the best deal. These come directly from all the questions I have been getting the last few days.

1. Only work with a lender that is going to credit any overages on you specific loan scenario. This way you will be able to reduce your closing costs. Watch the crediting overages video for the full details.

2. The truth is: Sometimes the lender you prefer to work with does not have the best deal. It’s that simple. They may be giving you the best deal they can offer but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a better deal down the street or online. You have to decide what is more important. The better deal or the lender. Don’t ask me what one is more important. That is all you, my friend. You already know my answer.

3. Make sure you are working with an experienced loan officer. They are the one that will ultimately get your loan to the closing table. You want someone that is going to structure your deal properly and fight to the death to get your loan closed. Well, not really to the death but you get the point!

If you stick to these three tips you will have a very good chance at not only getting the best deal but also getting your loan closed without any issues. That is what it is all about.

If you thought this was good information or worth discussing, help me bring transparency to mortgage lending by sharing today’s episode on Facebook or Twitter.

Let’s change the way people shop for a mortgage…forever!
