Every day I spend a couple hours creating videos that will help mortgage borrowers or real estate agents navigate the world of mortgage.
Here’s why I’m doing it:
My goal is to bring transparency to mortgage lending in the following ways:
- Share daily comparison mortgage rates you can use to shop around
- Shed light on the confusing underwriting practices of mortgage lenders
- Keep you up to date on what’s going on around the real estate world
- Introduce you to some great folks I’ve met along the way
I’d love to have you subscribe, comment, or ask me a question.

Owner/Talent, Rates in Motion
Mike Cox currently serves as the owner/talent for Rates in Motion. In his role, Cox produces, writes and edits content for Rates in Motion, a daily video blog site offering candid consumer education with the consistent goal to help individuals get the best possible deal on their mortgage. His light-hearted approach takes the very boring topic of mortgage lending and makes it a little more entertaining.
Since beginning his career in the mortgage industry in 2000, Cox has made significant contributions. He established himself through many innovative marketing techniques and developed a free for-sale-by-owner program that was later purchased by a mortgage company. After only one year of being in the mortgage arena, Cox was quickly recognized as a top producer. His out-of-the-box thinking and marketing techniques have always kept him at the top.
Inspired by Gary Vaynerchuck, author of the book, Crush It, Cox developed the Rates in Motion blog video site to provide transparency to the mortgage-lending process. Cox works daily to help people get the best possible deal when shopping for a mortgage.
Cox has been featured in industry magazines, including National Mortgage Professional magazine and the Scotsman’s Guide. He has been recognized by National Mortgage Professional magazine as one of the top most socially and professionally connected industry individuals in the mortgage arena.
Cox continues to share his knowledge of sales and the mortgage industry through guest blogs for BankRate and has been featured on CBSNews.com, News.com, BusinessInsider.com, NYDailyNews.com, Boston.com, BNet.com, DenverPost.com, SFGate.com, AZCentral.com, ABC7Chicago.com, UPI.com, Chron.com and the Fox News affiliate Web site in Austin, Texas.
Outside of work, he is involved in sports, fitness activities and spending time with his son, Kaine.
