Here are today’s rates with no lender fees. Use these rates to compare lenders – OR if you want a more accurate quote based on your specific loan scenario, just fill out that info right over there, and I will let you know exactly what kind of deal you should be getting. It’s that easy!

Hopefully by now you know the importance of shopping different lenders and finding an experienced loan officer who can get your loan to the closing table. This will ensure you are getting the best deal and getting your mortgage done with the least amount of hurdles.

This actually goes for your Realtor as well. Today I am going to cover a few things you need to consider when looking and working with your Realtor. The first thing you want to do is get some referrals from friends and family members who had a great experience with a local Realtor. Once you have three or four potential Realtors, you can go ahead and meet with them on separate occasions. This will help you find someone who you feel comfortable working with, and you have confidence that he or she has the skills you will need to buy your next house.

Now once you choose a Realtor and are committed to him or her, you need to take the next step. Just like in any good marriage you need to lie. I mean communicate. Communicate with your Realtor your likes and dislikes on each house you see. This information will help him or her find the house you are looking for.

You have to be honest as well. If the house is a dump, tell him or her that. If the house is expensive, tell the Realtor that. Not the area you want?  Tell him or her that. I am sure any experienced agent will tell you that you won’t offend him or her by simply being honest.

It will actually help the agent do his or her job better and hopefully find you the house of your dreams as fast as possible. Now this goes for service as well. If you don’t feel your needs are being taken care of, let the Realtor know. At the end of the day, the goal for any lender or Realtor is to make you extremely happy with the service they provide so that when the time comes when one of your friends or family members are looking for a referral that you would be happy to mention their name. If they can accomplish that, everyone wins!

That’s my tip of the day! If you have a mortgage question or want to know the best rates and costs that you should be getting on your loan, contact me like always, and I will let you know.

If you thought this was good information or worth discussing, help me bring transparency to mortgage lending by sharing today’s episode on Facebook or Twitter.

Let’s change the way people shop for a mortgage…forever!
